On August 23, representatives of Zhaotai Group attended the 4th China Artisans Conference held in Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. The event was guided by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, and the Palace Museum, and organized by Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association. It is a top-level creativity event in revitalizing traditional industries and artisan culture at home and abroad. The conference gathered cultural academics, industry experts, arts and culture experts, and artisan representatives from all over the country, who exchanged views on topics like revitalization of traditional industries and urban renewal, cultural nourishment and trade circulation, design reinvention and brand renewal, and case studies and resource networking, achieving a number of results in the dissemination of craftsmanship and empowerment of traditional cultural industries.

 
At 9:00 a.m., the Conference was officially kicked off by the keynote speech of Ren Ren, Director of the Industry Development Department of Sanxingdui Scenic Area Management Committee. The guests discussed the hot topic of “cultural creation” in response to the call of the times, international trend and market demand. During the event, Zhaotai Group’s guest speaker spoke about the Group’s 30 years of history in the field of property development, commercial and residential architecture, and the Group’s philosophy of “one city, one family”, and introduced Shui Jing Tang, an important project located in Chengdu’s Shuijingfang Historic Preservation District. As a new landmark in Chengdu’s cultural and urban tourism service core area, Shuijingfang will contribute to the branding and global development of Chengdu’s local commerce and business districts, accelerating the creation of a new urban consumption center. In conclusion, Zhao Pu, founder of the Conference, delivered a keynote speech to highlight the theme of this year’s event: cultural creation is the best vehicle for innovative cultural expression, and can not only enhance the public’s cultural confidence, but also enable industrial upgrading and develop the hard power of cultural consumption through “craftsmanship + cultural creation”.

As one of the first cultural and historical cities, Chengdu has built a creation platform for traditional culture with global influence. Building on its unique location, cultural genes and industrial mix, Chengdu will gather more world-class cultural creation, consumption, business, art, technology and other high-quality resources, to pool craftsmanship and empower the city. In this way, the city will accommodate relevant industries, create new demands, pursue innovation-driven development, and shape a role model for the development of cultural industries and craftsmanship in the new era.
Since its inception in 2017, the China Artisans Conference has been committed to honoring craftsmanship and creation, which also mirrors the corporate philosophy of Zhaotai Group.
