On July 20, a delegation led by Zhou Junping, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hainan Development Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hainan Holdings”) arrived in Beijing and headed to Zhaotai Group to participate in a work exchange conference. You Zehan, Executive Director and Vice President of Zhaotai Group, attended the conference. The talks took place under the accompany of Yang Xiaobin and Lu Xiaoming, who are the President and the Executive Vice President of Hainan Airport respectively. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on aviation fuel, airport-related commerce, cultural and entertainment business, and other aspects, and reached a consensus on deepening and expanding the cooperation in the next step.
China (Hainan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (hereinafter referred to as “Hainan FTZ”) is a large-scale free trade zone set up by the Chinese government to promote economic development, deepen reform and opening up, and participate in global economic cooperation. Since its establishment, Hainan FTZ has been attached ample importance by the Party Central Committee. It enjoys a number of policy preferences in taxation, talents, finance, circulation, and other aspects, and is an important test field for China to explore the further reform and development
In order to further promote and develop Zhaotai Group’s overall objective of diversification transformation and respond to the national development plan of Hainan FTZ, Zhaotai Group and Hainan Holdings reached a strategic cooperation intention, aiming to cooperate in sustainable aviation fuel, airport-related commerce, cultural and entertainment business, and other fields concerned by both parties.
Among them, in terms of cooperation on sustainable aviation fuel, the two sides plan to utilize the policy superiority and natural advantages of Hainan Province to jointly promote the construction and operation of sustainable aviation fuel production bases in Hainan Province. In terms of business and trade cooperation, the two sides plan to integrate infrastructure investment and construction, duty-free and bonded commercial and financial resources, and select a site near the Meilan Airport to build a “trade city” themed on Hainan culture. In the aspect of cooperation on cultural and entertainment business, the two sides plan to combine their domestic and international commercial resources as well as the planning and operation experience, and jointly construct a core commercial culture and entertainment center in Hainan FTZ by taking advantage of the commercial land and project resources of Hainan Holdings in core urban areas and implementing unified planning and design.
The cooperation between Zhaotai Group and Hainan Holdings in Hainan Province not only marks the further improvement of the Group’s diversified operations, but also signifies that Zhaotai Group will soon be deeply involved in the national development plan of Hainan FTZ and get into the fast lane of development together with the Hainan FTZ.
In addition, the two sides also discussed the cooperation with BOE Technology Group (BOE) at the conference, and Zhaotai Group plans to cooperate with BOE Digital Technology on BOE Digital Cloud. BOE Digital Cloud is the strategic outcome developed by BOE Digital Technology for its further advancement in response to the country’s goal of digital development, and it is also the core of BOE’s future development. As a part of Zhaotai Group’s strategy to enter the digital cloud field, Zhaotai Group plans to cooperate with BOE Digital Technology on BOE Cloud, establish BOE Digital Cloud Industry Fund, and utilize the capital to drive the rapid development and replication of BOE Digital Cloud project, thus bringing about the scaled effect. Meanwhile, Zhaotai Group will utilize its strengths to participate in and lead the commercial operation and design of BOE’s projects launched in the future. Going forward, as BOE expands its business in various regions, the two sides will get more cooperation opportunities.
